OUR MOTTO AND COAT OF ARMS

Our motto ‘LUX AD ILLUMINANDUM’ means ‘LIGHT TO ENLIGHTEN’. The students are expected to become lights to illumine the world and to dispel all sorts of darkness around us.

The ‘coat of arms’ also embodies the spirit of our motto. The coat of arms is in the shape of a shield which is divided into four quarters, each depicting the development of different aspects of the student’s personality.

The lighted lamp symbolizes the moral development, the fundamental requisite of any individual. They are expected to become lights of the universe and remove the darkness around us.

The spear and T-square represents our heavenly patron, St. Thomas, the disciple of Jesus Christ who came to this part of the world to spread the word of God. This also signifies the enhancement of spiritual values of our students.

The open book depicts acquisition of knowledge and wisdom and thus stands for the intellectual growth of the students.

The hills, coconut palm, river, etc. portrays distinctive geographical characteristics of our locale. It also represents the physical development of the students. The dawn, the rising sun implies the conquest of light over darkness.
